Night of Artists, round 2

Night of Artists is coming up next weekend. Check out the website for more info.

A few new things...

A couple new pooch portraits to add to the collection!

Duchess ~ 9" x 12"~ Oil on Birch Panel
A commissioned piece

Gershwin ~16" x 20" ~ Oil on Birch Panel

These tree paintings are a peek at what I have been up to lately. They are much more loose and abstract then I usually do, but lots of fun. They have a subtle gold shimmer to them that can't be captured in photographs. I am planning on showing these at the Night of Artists event in Edmonton at the end of May, and maybe at the Transcend Coffee shop in Edmonton for the month of June. I've got a few more on the go including some big ones, but they are still in the experimental stages. And they need names...

The Suburbs - Oil and Latex on Panel - 16" x 40"

I must say I am getting excited to leave the big city. As much as I love the city and all there is to do, I am looking forward to a simple life in a small town.

After the Rain - Oil on Canvas - 14" x 18"

This painting in heading to a new home to Victoria, BC.
